Section A

The Logo

Adaptability
Heritage
Personality

The team icon was the biggest change in the logo redesign process. The old logo’s form was largely kept with some aspects emphasized and some simplified to optimize its legibility and flexibility

Movement

The angular nature of the team icon loosely depicts movement. this symbolism also applies to the logotype’s italicized nature.

Heritage

The form of the icon is based off of the athletics department logo of the team’s host school; Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School.

Personality

Sharp edges and Angular shapes shows that the team is willing to take risks in order to innovate and show the team’s professionalism.

Section B

Design System

The whole design system of the team’s brand was refreshed, the color system revamped, as well as the graphic design elements were redesigned. This whole process was iterative and was condensed into a single brand standard document as the process was taking place.

The Website

Easier to Edit, Friendlier

The team website was also redesigned to reflect the new standards in place, this necessitated a move to a more GUI-Friendly Web Management System called WordPress from the Code-based RapidWeaver the old website was using, eliminating the need on the reliance of one person to modify and manage the website’s contents.
