2022 FRC CONTROL SYSTEM DIAGRAM
Duration: December 2021
Client: WPILib Documentation Team
I was tasked to create a derivative of the 2019 control system diagram that I designed and adapted by WPILib's documentation team in their site, In anticipation of the 2022 FIRST Robotics Competition Season, where a new, optional control system is debuting, A new diagram reflecting the new system is needed.
The new diagram is designed with the new control system components in mind, as well as a change in its design format to better suit readability in both poster settings and digital settings.
Designed to help a new or existing FIRST Robotics student understand the fundamental components of the program's standardized robot control system, where they connect and what is needed to run a functional robot at a minimum.
The graphic is compartmentalized into several subsections of components that have similar functionality. Varying line widths and colours help signify different minimum wire gauge sizes and polarity directions, laid out in a systematic way so that wire traces are easy to map from its origin, to its destination
